LEGO Masters, we want you!

The LEGO room at Bill Richardson Transport World is back in business!

Now that we’ve moved into Level One, this family favourite within our collection has been reopened and we’re looking for some little LEGO masters to put a smile on the faces of our guests.

Our display cases are in need of some brightening up and we’d love to showcase creations made by your little ones.

We’re calling on Southland’s kids to design, create and build some epic LEGO masterpieces, which we’d love to loan from you and put on display for Winter 2020. If you’re keen on showcasing your talent and love for LEGO – plus the chance to earn some bragging rights – now is the perfect time to get building.

We’d also like to accompany each LEGO creation with some details about the effort each child put into their work. Once your child has finished their build, please bring it – and written answers to the below questions – into the gift shop here at Bill Richardson Transport World. We want to know:

 

Name and age of child

What they have built

How long it took to design and create the build

The hardest part of building their masterpiece

What they like best about their work

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • Submitting a piece of work to the Bill Richardson Transport World LEGO Master 2020 Challenge means you are giving your permission for Bill Richardson Transport World to loan your creation for the months of June – August 2020 for the express purpose of displaying it to the public within our museum collection. These will be displayed in locked cases at Bill Richardson Transport World but Bill Richardson Transport World bears no responsibility for lost or damaged items associated with the build.
  • Submitting a piece for display as part of the Bill Richardson Transport World LEGO Master 2020 Challenge means you are granting permission for Transport World to use information and images of the build for marketing purposes.
  • The owner of the LEGO construction will collect their piece in person from Bill Richardson Transport World after the display ends. Items can be collected from 1 September onwards.
  • The owner of the LEGO construction and family members will be unable to access their build while it is on public display within our museum. Owners and family members will be able to view their build only if they purchase admission to Bill Richardson Transport World.
  • Bill Richardson Transport World reserves the right to decline displaying builds if space does not allow for it.
