Emergency Services Winter Exhibit

Honouring the driving forces of our emergency services

Starts: Fri, 29th Mar 2024 at 10.00 AM
Ends: Sat, 31st Aug 2024 at 5.00 PM

Take a trip down memory lane: a tribute to the vehicles of our emergency services that kept our communities safe for almost a century.

Prepare to look back in time as you get up close and personal with our display of emergency services vehicles, the earliest being from the 1920s. Featuring police cars, fire engines and ambulances through the ages, our tribute to the driving force of our emergency services is sure to evoke many memories.

Don't miss your chance to visit this incredible collection, because once it's gone, it's gone.

Highlights of the exhibit include:

  • Florence, the 1959 Volkswagen Kombi Ambulance, restored by the Transport World workshop team
  • A 1922 Chalmers Fire Engine first used by the Mataura Volunteer Fire Brigade, and is now owned by the Vintage Car Club
  • And much, much more!

Admission to Honouring the driving forces of our Emergency Services exhibit is included in entry to Bill Richardson Transport World.
