George Begg race car set to zoom in

Transport World is absolutely stoked to announce we have have a HUGE new addition. Set to be on display at Bill Richardson Transport World, George Begg's iconic Race Car the 018 Formula 5000 has raced into focus.

George Begg was a motorbike racer, race car engineer and good all-round Southern bloke. He worked for McLaren at one point and used those skills to build 18 successful race cars from his workshop in Drummond, Southland. The 018 Formula 5000 is special as it's the last Begg car ever made and one of the last generation of New Zealand-made race cars. Driven by Jim Murdoch it took the New Zealand race scene by storm up until its retirement a few years ago.
