Housed within a beautiful purpose built Art Deco building, paying homage to this era, you can immerse yourself in a collection that dates from the 19th Century. You will either remember using many of our objects or learn how the past used to operate. Either way it is a fascinating look into a world gone by. Well known vehicles from throughout the world, New Zealand and Southland are located throughout. Standouts include Invercargill's first passenger bus, a vintage Foursquare truck and a Retro Zone packed full of Volkswagen Kombi. Other vintage gems include numerous petrol tins, children's toys and household appliances like washing machines and fridges. A hugely diversified collection there is plenty to see.
