Queen's Park is Invercargill's jewel. Considered one of New Zealand's most important parks it is worth taking a few hours to explore. It is also worth stopping in to see Henry The Tuatara. Henry is internationally famous and lives within the Southland Museum & Art Gallery.

Take your time and check out Invercargill's inner city. Invercargill is full of grand architecture, ingenious people and world class facilities. Wander through the shops, enjoy Invercargill's cafes and excellent restaurants. If you're looking for Transport World's cafes they have two Meccaspresso (located in the inner city) and The Grille Cafe.

Take a drive to Oreti Beach or Bluff 

Head to the coast and take a trip to Oreti Beach and Bluff. Oreti Beach is located around 15 minutes from the city of Invercargill. Oreti Beach is well-known as being the famous practice ground of Burt Munro. Bluff is a 30 minute drive from Bluff to Invercargill. Bluff is the gateway to Stewart Island and one of New Zealand's oldest European settlements.
