Audio tours now available

Our collections at Bill Richardson Transport World and Classic Motorcycle Mecca are jaw-droppers: now, visitors can make their experience even better, with audio tours available to showcase the wealth of fascinating details found within the museums’ highlights.

Rich in history, personal stories, and little-known details about some of the pieces that make up our impressive collections, the audio tour tracks have been voiced by Transport World executive director Jocelyn O’Donnell herself.

Transport World visitor experience manager Juliana Baxter says for just an additional $10, visitors can don a headset and enhance their experience of the collection with the bonus of expert, in-depth knowledge.

“Audio tours are fairly common in museums and galleries around the world, and a number of our visitors have asked about audio tours here. We are thrilled to be able to share some of the quirkier, human-interest details in our collection with a larger audience through our new audio tours,” she says.

Initially, audio have been recorded in English only but if demand calls for it, Transport World may consider recording them in other languages as well, Baxter says.

Audio tour signs will be found in front of vehicles or displays throughout the collection. The headsets are simple to use, and can be booked in advance or upon arrival (subject to availability).
