1955 Ford Thunderbird Classic Car
Enter a new era: this 1955 Ford Thunderbird is an absolute pearler, and a fine example of the refined glamour automobiles of the mid-20th century are renowned for.
The early Ford Thunderbirds, from 1955 – 1957, have only continued to gain in popularity as the years have passed: take one look at this car, and it’s not hard to see why.
With their sleek styling, modern creature comforts, and powerful V8 engines, the Ford Thunderbirds of the mid-1950s were a triumph over rival manufacturer Chevrolet’s Corvette. Created in direct response to the success of the Chevrolet Corvette, the Ford Thunderbird has become one of the manufacturer’s most legendary cars.
In total, 53,166 Thunderbirds were built during its initial three-year run: 16,155 for ’55, 15,631 for ’56, and 21,380 for ’57. The Thunderbird became an almost-instant classic: the first T-Bird Club started in 1962, just a handful of years after the model was first released.
“Awesome experience! A huge variety of displays to look at, not just the beautiful cars and trucks. Also a great variety of creative wearable arts displays, a Lego room and plenty more...”Beth J
